4th Annual  Irish-American Childrens Celebration at the
Garden State Discovery Museum

January 6 & 7, 2001

We don’t call them the “Next Generation” for nothing! Two dozen  talented young musicians and stepdancers, ages 7 to 17,  wowed a packed house at the Garden State Discovery Museum in Cherry Hill, NJ for the 4th Annual Children’s Irish-American Weekend on January 6 and 7, 2001. The musicians who coordinate this event are Kathy DeAngelo, Dennis Gormley and Chris Brennan-Hagy, who draw on talents of those players who frequent their monthly young musicians session
This event is now a first weekend of January “tradition”, so mark your calendars for this year’s extravaganza! Here are just a few of the visual highlights from the 2001 show.

2006 show is Sunday January 8

Dear Kathy, Dennis and Chris:

Well, the 4th Annual was just as terrific as ever. Thank you all so much for the hard work, the enthusiasm and the talent to bring this all together.

Kathy, I will always be glad that I called you four years ago to bring over a few harp students; Multi-Cultural Month has never been the same Your event sets a standard that serves as the benchmark for the rest of the program this month. I look forward to our 5th anniversary year; we'll have to do something special.

Yours truly,
Sarah Orleans
