Harpers' Escape Weekend

Tune Sheet 

Here is one of the tunes we taught at the 1997 Harpers Escape Weekend. We taught this melody "by ear". The syncopation noted here is a little difficult for the beginner, so you can do what we did at the weekend: play a root/fifth left hand on beats 1 and 4 (this is 6/8, so count 1-2-3-4-5-6, stressing beats 1 and 4). Both Altan and Dervish have recorded lightning fast versions of this tune.
