:Above: Group playing was definitely a highlight of the Weekend. Because we had so many returning alumni, everybody had a lot of tunes in common.

The Sunday Concert at the Youth Temple was attended by over 100 people from the community.  Musically speaking it was the best concert the Harpers Escape ever played.  Due to the large number of alumni players we had so many group numbers. Thanks to everyone who participated and made this such a special event.
From left: teachers Debbie Brewin-Wilson, Bridget Highet, Kathy DeAngelo and Grainne Hambly led the entourage of more than 2 dozen harps.

Debbie's beginner group performed Drummond Castle. Kathy and Bridget's intermediate group played The Rakes of Clonmel jig, which Kathy learned from fiddler Ed McDermott who lived a stone's throw from Ocean Grove back in 1973. Grainne led her advanced class with the reel Mountain Lark.  The entire group learned and performed the lovely Irish air, Ar Bruach na Carraige Baine, with the lead-in first verse sung in Irish by Laura Enuco.

Other group numbers included Wendell's Wedding, Hector the Hero, The Haunted House and Ned Coleman's jig, The Atholl Highlander, and last year's tune Eily Gheal Chiun.
