HSLC has made the strategic decision over the past ten years to acquire and implement for its mission-critical operations primarily those products which are commercially supported and have a sizeable user base. From hardware platforms to operating systems and application software, HSLC's measured choices have been concertedly on the side of those products most likely to be supported into the future, with clear migration paths as specified by the product vendors. These choices have applied to internal administrative systems as well as to those available to its member community.
As a systems integrator, HSLC has strived to develop a well planned and secure environment for its members and users, as well as an integrated approach to information provision. HSLC members and users should be assured that to the best of its ability, HSLC will obtain, install and monitor all operating system and application software for its compliance with Year 2000 requirements, and will monitor, collect information about, and where necessary, attempt to influence the direction of its suppliers.
Toward this end, HSLC will maintain this web page to gather in one place statements, documents and discussions related to Y2K issues. This will be a combination of materials obtained from vendors in a variety of formats and stored locally, and links to vendor web pages which address Y2K issues. As additional information is made available or is modified, HSLC will provide links to it here. Your comments and questions are welcome. Please address them to support@hslc.org.
