Attention Pennsylvania School Librarians:

The formation of the Pennsylvania eBook Consortium offers a cost-effective way to provide eBooks to the communities you serve.

To join the PA eBook Consortium, please submit a Letter of Intent to participate:

Consortium dues will be billed on a yearly basis (July 1 – June 30) and are based on the number of students you serve and the number of eBook collections to which you subscribe. Dues will be structured as follows:

<250 students = $250.00
251-500 students = $500.00
501-1,000 students = $750.00
1,001-2,000 students = $1,000.00
>2,000 students = $1,500.00

The eBook collections offered are as follows:

Elementary Collection (K-5)
Middle School Collection (6-8)
High School Collection (9-12)

If your school has less than 250 students and subscribes to two collections, your annual subscription fee will be $500.

The eBook lists for each grade level are available below. The consortium focused on high-interest fiction as well as non-fiction titles which support the Common Core curriculum. Although many publishers do not allow for unlimited, simultaneous access within consortiums, we purchased multiple copies of the same title to prevent the popular titles from consistently being unavailable. Consortium participants were given the opportunity to provide input on the title selections as the lists were being developed.

2016-2017 School Year Title Lists (New lists will be developed for the 2017-2018 School Year.)

  • Middle School Title List [XLS] [PDF]
  • High School Title List [XLS] [PDF]

We will establish three collections through the consortium and you can choose which to join, based on the age group you serve. If you represent a building that serves multiple grade bands, we will work with you set up multiple access points, but you will need to subscribe to and pay for each collection level you would like to access.

We will use MackinVIA as the platform to host our eBook Consortium. After an extensive review of many options, we feel that the features available through MackinVIA best serve the needs of Pennsylvania librarians that represent different levels of eBook integration.
